textbook:

the valkyries were norse mythological beings who had the grim task of deciding who lived and died in battle. those warriors chosen were escorted to valhalla, the kingdom of odin. i won’t get into the whole mess but basically the valkyries watch over the fallen as they prepare for ragnarok, a massive battle that will bring the world to a new age. anyway, when thinking of the valkyries i recall paintings that depict them in long flowing garb as they ride…yet they are soldiers so there is a fun juxtaposition. basically, i just get to use more balenciaga and balmain…enjoy.
